By using Awesome Crate you agree to what follows. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

What the service is

Awesome Crate provides free tools that run in your web browser — editing PDFs today, with a focus timer and an encrypted notes vault planned. No account is required, and your files are processed on your own device.

Your files are your responsibility

Because everything is stored in your browser rather than on our servers, we cannot recover anything for you. Browser storage can be cleared by you, by your browser, or by your operating system — and some mobile browsers do so automatically after a period of inactivity.

Keep your own copies of anything important. Do not treat this site as your only copy of a document.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• Use these tools to infringe copyright or process documents you have no right to.
• Attempt to interfere with the site, or with other people's use of it.
• Circumvent, hide or automatically click the advertising that pays for the service.
• Use automated systems to hammer the site in a way that degrades it for others.

Advertising

The tools are free and supported by ads. We aim to keep them out of the way — you will see one while a file is being prepared for download, and in a fixed slot within some tools. If you block ads, the tools still work; we will simply ask you to consider allowing them.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be fit for a particular purpose. PDF files vary enormously and some will not process perfectly. Check the result before relying on it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any lost data, lost work, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Since the service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to nothing beyond ceasing to provide it.

Changes to the service

Tools may be added, changed or removed, and these terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
