Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

The short version: your files never leave your device. Every tool on this site runs as JavaScript inside your browser. There is no upload step, no processing server, and no copy of your document anywhere but your own computer.

What we do not collect

  • Your files. PDFs you open, images you place, and notes you write are read and edited locally. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
  • Accounts. There is no sign-up, so we hold no names, email addresses or passwords.
  • Your vault password. When the Secret Vault ships, its encryption happens in your browser. We never receive the password and could not recover your diary if you forgot it.

What is stored on your device

To make the tools usable, some data is saved in your browser's own storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). This never gets sent anywhere — it is on your machine, and you can delete it at any time.

  • Documents you are editing, so work is not lost if you close the tab.
  • Deleted documents, kept in Trash for 30 days before permanent removal.
  • Small preferences, such as light or dark mode and which tips you dismissed.

You can clear all of it by using Trash inside the tool, or by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings. Note that some browsers — Safari on iPhone and iPad in particular — automatically clear site data after a period of not visiting a site. If a document matters to you, download a copy.

Advertising

This site is free and has running costs, which advertising covers. We intend to use Google AdSense. When ads are active:

  • Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.
  • Advertising is separate from your documents. Ad code has no access to the files you are working on.

For details of how Google handles data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like nearly all web hosts, Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as your IP address and browser type) in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not add our own server-side logging of your activity on top of that.

Analytics

We currently run no analytics or tracking scripts of our own. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and we will choose a privacy-respecting option that does not involve your file contents.

Children

These tools are general-purpose and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Because we hold no accounts, we cannot notify you directly — checking this page is the reliable way to see the current version.
